- Warm layers for Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon. Both are 2,100 m up: mild days, but nights close to freezing.
- No riding on Sunday 25. The ranch still has archery, shooting, e-bikes and the pool.
- Drink loads of water. Desert air dries you out fast, especially on hikes.
- Drives: Scottsdale → Flagstaff about 2.5 hrs. Flagstaff → Tucson about 4 hrs.
- Book ahead: Lowell Observatory nights, the Boneyard tour, Pink Jeep tours and Taliesin West all sell out.
- Shooting ranges have age and ID rules for under-18s. Call before you go.
- Arizona doesn't change its clocks. No daylight saving here.
